It's been a pipedream & alot of daydreaming til Howard & I came up with the idea of a "Community Tire Garden"....  Let's create a worthwhile project that will make a difference in the neighborhood, bring togetherness & comradery among friends/families/children, a place to commune with nature~ all the while growing vegetables for healthy eating!  I hope you enjoy the journey with us in this creation developing & having the time of our lives making this "Garden Come to LIfe!"

Let me bring into play the creators of this passion of gardening, Vanessa & Eric Mytko, owners: "Life's A Garden".  They have been creating personal, commercial, water retention garden's, etc for what seems a Lifetime!
They are a locally-owned and are operated- licensed landscape contractor [ROC#176487] specializing in the design, installation and management of edible and sustainable landscapes. With an emphasis on quality workmanship and organic practices, they incorporate into their designs vegetables, herbs and fruit for year-round harvest while maintaining a pleasing and inviting space. Purveyors of rainwater harvesting and greywater systems, they can significantly help  clients reduce their water consumption. Also, by using local resources and reclaimed materials, they are able to further reduce waste and conserve valuable resources.

More about Vanessa/Eric:
Vanessa, a native to Phoenix and a certified Permaculture Designer. Also the glue holding the office together, a Maricopa County Master Gardener Associate and a student of Herbalism... She loves to prepare meals and teas from the treasures of the garden!

Eric, also a Phoenix native, has more than 13 years of irrigation experience. His many certifications include: Smartscape, Arizona Certified Landscape Professional (ACLP), Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA), WMG Certified Water Harvesting Practitioner, ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute)and a board member of the Phoenix Permaculture Guild. His hobbies are intertwined with our business - he loves to garden and build things! As Eric so laughingly says, "I shovel Stuff!"

"Life's a Garden" has been honored with two awards in 2010:
American Horticultural Society Enviromental Award in March
Arizona Landscape Contractors' Association's Budding Contractor of the Year Award

Life's a Garden is also certified in Dust Control. They are a company committed to using local resources and reusing materials whenever possible. They pride themselves in the many affiliations they maintain....  Please take a look at their Resources page!
